Toshiba, LG Agree on Cross-Licensing of ODD Patents

Japanese Toshiba and Korean LG Electronics have reached a cross-licensing agreement, which guarantees each company the accessibility to the other's patents covering ODDs (Optical Disk Drives) and optical discs, including next-generation DVD players and recorders. This cooperation is expected to reduce development time and costs of these products for both companies.
