Korean Makers Dominate Worldwide LCD Panel Patent Applications

According to joint research by Displaybank and Wellture, since 2000 Korean makers have accounted for nearly 79% of all LCD panel patent applications worldwide. LG.Philips recorded 1384 applications of a worldwide total of 3020, representing a market-leading share of approximately 46%. Samsung had 990 applications for a share of approximately 33%.
