LG on February 7 unveiled a new set of LCD and PDP TVs equipped with 250GB HDDs (Hard Disk Drive), which can store up to 92 hours of regular TV programs and 21 hours of high-definition programming. This new set includes 37-, 42-, and 47-inch LCD TVs and 42-, and 50-inch PDP TVs, and prices for these models will be US$300 to US$500 higher than offerings without the hard disk drives. In 2005 the company already launched three models with built-in hard disk drives, but these only had a capacity of 160GB.
