Hitachi to Expand Flat-Panel TV Assembly Plant Capacity

Japanese Hitachi has announced that it will invest one billion Yen to boost the monthly capacity of their flat-panel TV assembly plant in Gifu, Japan, from 30,000 to 60,000 units by spring of this year. Meanwhile, it has also stated that it plans to build its first flat-panel TV assembly plant in Europe by January 2007.
