Matsushita Develops Smallest Laptop Fuel Cell
January 06, 2006
Japan's Matsushita Electric and the University of Pennsylvania have co-developed a notebook PC fuel cell with a total volume of 400cc. Slated for commercialization in 2010 the cell puts out an average output of 13 watts, peaking at 20 watts. The cell is able to provide 20 hours of runtime with an injection of 200cc of methanol, about two times longer than a recharged lithium-ion battery.
