NVIDIA Acquires ULi to Strengthen Chipset Business

NVIDIA has decided to acquire Taiwanese ULi with US$52 million, a company owned by ALi, UMC, Mediatek, and other shareholders. Through the acquisition, which is expected to take effect in the first quarter of 2007, ULi will be able to boost its brand image, access core graphic technology, obtain ULi's south bridge design competencies, and gain ULi's customer portfolio.
