Gigabyte Raises System Assembly Capacity

Gigabyte recently announced it will invest US$50 million to set up a system assembly plant in Ningbo, China, and expand its motherboard production capacity at its existing plant there. The company said it has already received approval from the Taiwanese government to go ahead with the investment plan. Gigabyte follows other Taiwanese makers who have made the same move into system assembly, including Asus and ECS.
