Tohoku Pioneer Exits AM OLED JV

Pioneer recently announced that its subsidiary Tohoku Pioneer will exit EL Dis, a joint venture set up in 2001 in cooperation with Semiconductor Energy Laboratory and Sharp which produces AM OLED panels. The move comes as Pioneer is restructuring its business operations after two years of experiencing considerable losses. After Tohoku Pioneer's exit, El Dis will be renamed AFD and will become a 100% subsidiary of Semiconductor Energy Laboratory.
