In a recent filing to the Korean Stock Exchange, LG stated that it will make a second-phase investment in its A3 PDP production line in the second half of 2006. With this new investment the company expects that its monthly production capacity of 42-inch plasma panels will reach 550,000 units at the end of 2006. The third-phase investment in the plant, located in the Korean city of Gumi, will start in 2007, and is forecasted to increase monthly production capacity to 730,000 units.
