S-LCD to Increase Capacity at 7G TFT-LCD Plant

S-LCD, the display panel joint venture between Sony and Samsung, announced on November 22 that it will invest ten billion Yen to increase production capacity at its plant in Korea. The joint venture expects capacity at the 7G TFT-LCD plant to reach 75,000 units per month by July 2006, up from the current 60,000 units per month. Production at the plant is evenly distributed between Sony and Samsung.
