Samsung SDI announced on November 17 that it plans to make an investment of 465.5 billion Won for the production of AM-OLED panels. The company will build a production facility in the city of Cheonan, and it expects that construction will be completed by the end of 2006. Mass production will start in January 2007 with an annual capacity of 20 million units, which is forecasted to increase to 50 million units in 2008.
