Optimax to Expand Capacity in China, Taiwan

Optimax has decided to spend NT$500 million initially to build a polarizer plant in Suzhou, China. With mass production to kick off in the fourth quarter of 2006, this plant will focus on backend trimming and inspection of polarizer. In addition, Optimax will set up a new line in Taiwan in the second half of 2006, capable of producing 7.7 million square meters annually, thus boosting Optimax's total annual capacity to 51 million square meters.
