InfoVision's 5G Plant to Start Trial Run in Late 2005

InfoVision Optoelectronics is about to finish the first phase construction of its 5G plant in Kunshan, China, with expectation to start equipment installation and trial run in late 2005. With a monthly capacity of 30,000 units at the beginning, the production line can produce a maximum of 90,000 TFT-LCD panels per month, intended for notebook PCs, LCD monitors, and LCD TVs. InfoVision is expected to invest a total of US$10 billion, with the initial investment amounting to US$600 million.
