Toppan, E Ink Introduce Full-Color Electronic Paper Display

Japanese Toppan announced on Wednesday October 19 that it has partnered with US E Ink in the development of a full-color electronic paper display, which the company said uses up to 100 times less power than LCDs. The display is able to maintain the same contrast ratio under all lighting conditions, and it is expected to go into mass production at the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007.
