Daily Polymer and Eternal Chemical have successfully developed alignment film for TFT LCD, becoming the first Taiwanese makers in the alignment film market. Currently, the market is dominated mainly by Japanese makers, including Nissan Chemical, JSR, Chisso, and Hitachi, among which, Nissan Chemical and JSR own approximately 80% market share. Panels using alignment film by Taiwanese makers are expected to come out in the second half of 2006.
