Fujitsu demonstrated 3.8-inch electronic paper at Ceatec Japan 2005, a reflective LCD display that is said to be brighter than other reflective LCD displays. The e-paper can display normally even under power-off status or when being bent. Mass production is expected to start in late 2006, initially for medium- and small-sized products. Fujitsu will handle a small portion of production, while leaving the bulk of production to other manufacturing partners or contract manufacturers.
