October 07, 2005

VIA and Mini-box have announced a car PC integrating GPS navigation, communication, entertainment and information services, priced between US$299 and US$399. Catering to automotive enthusiasts as well as vehicle manufacturers, the VoomPC system uses two low-power EPIA Mini-ITX mainboards from VIA and Mini-box's M1-ATX 12V power supply which can prevent damage caused by power surges and monitor car battery levels.
