Chisso to Construct New Liquid Crystal Facility in Taiwan

Japanese Chisso, a liquid crystal supplier accounting for 50% of the Taiwanese market, plans to establish a new liquid crystal production site in the city of Tainan, which will be Chisso's first production facility outside of Japan. With an initial investment of NT$200 million, Chisso expects to start volume production on this line in the second half of 2006 with an annual capacity of 50 tons.
