Applied Films to Break Ground on Taiwan Plant

Applied Films plans to build a new plant in Taiwan's Tainan Science-based Industrial Park, scheduled to break ground on September 26. Applied Films is expected to invest approximately NT$1 billion initially in the Taiwan plant that produces equipment such as in-line sputters. The investment will enhance the competitiveness of the industry as the yield of color filters has become a key bottleneck for 6G yields.
