Lang Chao to Assist Venezuela with New Computer Plant

According to a report in the newspaper El Nacional which quoted the Venezuelan minister of Light Industries, the Chinese company Lang Chao will provide a new Venezuelan state-controlled firm called Veninsa with its technological expertise to assist in establishing a computer assembly production line, which is to be located in the state of Falcon. Initially the plant will assemble computers using Chinese-made components, with the price of desktop models estimated at US$474 and that of notebook computers at US$724.
