In reaction to the free offering of terrestrial DMB broadcasting services in Korea starting December 2005, Samsung and LG intend to introduce terrestrial DMB notebook PCs. In addition to the notebook PC with built-in receiver that Samsung is releasing, the company further plans to equip its entire notebook PC line with T-DMB support via external modules, should industrial design allow. LG, besides rolling out T-DMB notebook PCs, also plans to release several T-DMB phones in 2005.
