NEC Rolls Out PC with Radiator
August 26, 2005
NEC has rolled out a desktop PC that employs a radiator cooling solution. The water cooler, which has an embedded radiator, allows users to push the PC to maximum while maintaining a normal temperature range and generating merely 30dB sound. Currently only available from NEC's website at US$925, the value-line desktop PCs are equipped with a dual-core Celeron D Processor 341 using the Intel 945G Express chipset, 256MB RAM, and an 80GB hard drive. Customization with Nvidia's GeForce 6200 with TurboCache is also available. Water-cooling solutions are nothing new, but this is the first time that NEC has adopted a radiator in their consumer PCs.
