Nomura to Produce 6G LCD Equipment in Taiwan
August 19, 2005
Japanese-based
Nomura Unison Group
's
Taichung
plant is expected to start production of
6G
and above LCD equipment in mid-August. They already have a plant in
Kaohsiung
and this is their second plant in
Taiwan
. Due to the lack of room left for expansion in the
Kaohsiung
plant and the larger equipment required for lines
6G
and above, Nomura has decided to set up the new
Taichung
plant, which is twice as large as
Kaohsiung
plant. The facility will be developed in two phases, the first of which will be completed this month.
