According to sources, LPL has plans to invest another US$24 million into its back-end TFT LCD module plant in Nanjing China, bring its total investments in the plant to US$98.8 million. With the added sum, LPL's Nanjing plant will be able to expand its annual capacity from 1.5 ?2 million units to around 24 million units. To match up with LPL's lift in demand, Radiant, LPL's backlight module supplier, will be doubling its monthly capacity for large size and small and medium size backlight modules respectively to one million units and two million units.
