Taiwan to Draft Cross-strait Display Inspection Standards

China agreed during the two-day talk in a cross-strait technological standard forum that Taiwan, with more advanced TFT LCD, PDP, and OLED technology, should be the one to draft a shared inspection standard, which will later need China's approval. All panels and display devices, either manufactured or assembled in the two countries, will need to meet the standard and be classified into grade A, grade B, or rejected. The establishment of this common standard is expected to streamline the inspection process for digital displays and accelerate the time to market.
