Haier's Digital TV Chip Sales Exceed 10 Million Units

Haier has sold over ten million digital TV decoding chips as of 2004. The maker invested heavily to establish Haier (Beijing) IC Design in 2000, for research into the core technology of digital TVs. 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004 have each seen the successive launch of new homegrown digital TV encoders from Haier.
