MAIT (Manufacturers' Association of Information Technology) has projected that the Indian PC market will grow 25% annually over the next four to five years. The association has pointed to strong macroeconomic conditions and robust buying sentiment. Government spending for social sector projects spanning healthcare, education, and rural development are expected to bring an added push. Government facilitation of easier financing plans from banks for consumer PC purchase was also cited.
