Dainippon Ink and Chemicals Develops Naturally White E-paper
July 08, 2005
Using micro-particles of nylon and silicon dioxide, Dainippon Ink and Chemicals has successfully developed a new fiber-like material for electronic displays and expects to apply this technology to e-book readers in the next three to four years. The sample e-paper has a screen size of 6" and is around 750 micro-meters thick. The fibril material is placed between two layers of transparent electrodes and sandwiched by glass on the outside.
