July 01, 2005
Bringing hope for relief in the current supply crunch, Taiwan Fluorescent Lamp is eyeing a total of ten CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) production lines in 2006, up from the existing three. The maker has been developing CCFL for five years now, with special focus on 7" sizes, which account for over 60% of its total production. Monthly capacity on the lines currently comes to the 600,000 unit - 70,000 unit level. In the future, the maker hope to develop CCFLs for 32" LCD TVs. Major customers include Radiant, NanYa, and LG.
