After a year and a half's research, L&K Precision is now capable of mass producing large size, high frequency LVDS (Low-Voltage Differential Signaling) connectors for LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panels. Patents for connectors used in LCD panels 17" and up have previously been controlled by Japanese players. L&K Precision is the first Taiwanese maker to mass produce such connectors, and has already received connector orders for 17" LCD panels from a large domestic panel manufacturer. The maker plans to ship 200,000 units per month starting in July 2005, with hopes of reaching 300,000 units each month by the end of the year. Monthly shipments in 2006 are estimated at 500,000 units to 600,000 units.
