Display - Toppoly to Hoist Small & Med Panel Shipments to 3.5M in 4Q05

Due to new orders, LTPS TFT panel maker Toppoly is eyeing 3.5 million to four million units for its small and medium panel shipments in the fourth quarter of 2005, up from two million units in the second quarter. Toppoly's focus of the year is on small and medium size LTPS panel production. Although large panel production still accounts for as much as 75% of its total output, the maker hopes to gradually migrate 100% of its capacity into the small and medium size panel business.
Following the completion of Toppoly's second plant, the maker will move its CF line, currently located in the first plant, into the former, and more than double the line's monthly capacity from 30,000 units to 80,000 units. To boost CF output and increase in-house production rate, Toppoly is considering procuring a 3.5 CF line from Sintek.
