Computing - Intel Introduces East Fork, Mini Concept Platform for Digital Home
June 10, 2005
Intel demoed its new concept platform for the mobile digital home at Computex Taipei 2005 in early June. Codenamed East Fork and built around Intel's dual-core Yonah processor, the platform is about the same size as a typical optical drive, yet provides multitasking capabilities. East Fork features next-generation core-logic, dual-core mobile processor, and allows options for advanced connectivity. It is expected that the platform will be bundled and marketed under a brand name, similar to the Centrino.
