Leading Chinese color TV makers, including Changhong, Konka, Skyworth, Hisense, Haier, Xoceco, Panda, SVA, and TCL, have stated their resolution to convert their competitive relations into strategic ties. During a summit held by CVPA (China Video Professional Association) in late May, makers reached a consensus to cooperate in four areas: establishing technological standards, sharing patents, integrating resources in the international market, and collaborating in the domestic market. Four coordinating committees will be set up under CVPA to implement the respective goals.
