Nippon Kayaku has successfully developed a surface protecting film for LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs that halves the light reflection rate of current offerings. The company is ready to expand its LCD TV film business; the price of the new film is held at approximately the same level of other film.

 

The new film is an improvement on existing offerings, made by adding a certain acrylic coating to a film comprised of a polyethylene terephthalate resin.

 

Although Nippon Kayaku also provides films for LCD TVs, it has been largely concentrated on developing high function films for plasma TVs since its entrance into the market during 1999.
