Chunghwa Telecom to Build New Data Center in Taiwan for US$ 310 Million

Taiwan leading telecom operator CHT (Chunghwa Telecom) recently announced that the company is set to build a new data center in Taichung, Central Taiwan, for NT$9 billion (US$310.7 million; US$1= 28.97), the Commercial Times reported on August 20. The new data center is slated for completion within four years. The construction will be carried out in fourth phases, including existing warehouse renovation and the construction of new buildings. In addition to this new data center, CHT currently has another data center in Northern Taiwan. The company was planning to add two to three data centers island-wide.
