China’s Guangdong province is projected to complete 50,000 5G base stations by the end of third quarter of 2020, with an aim to have a total of 60,000 stations and 20 million subscribers by the end of this year, the United Daily News reported on March 5. In 2020, it is estimated 100M optical fiber network users will account for more than 90% of total population in the province while IPTV users will reach 23 million, 21 million of which are 4K users.
