Delta Electronics recently announced that it plans to form a strategic partnership with software maker SAP (Taiwan) SE to create a smart manufacturing ecosystem with an aim to accelerate the transformation of the nation’s industrial landscape towards Industry 4.0, the United Daily News reported on August 27. With SAP’s resources, Delta is able to implement its own smart manufacturing solutions to create total solutions to meet clients’ needs. After implementation, Delta has achieved a 70% increase in production efficiency and a 35% decrease in production areas of its plants. Through the cooperation, they will strive to go beyond the integration of software and hardware to provide a safe, open, and flexible communication platform and create optimal end-to-end solutions for both office and factory applications.
