With support of the IDB (Industrial Development Bureau) of Taiwan's MoEA (Ministry of Economic Affairs), government-backed research institute III (Institute for Information Industry) recently announced its collaboration with TTRI (Taiwan Textile Research Institute), with an aim to enhance the smart textile ecosystem, the CTimes reported on May 14. By inviting AR/VR/MR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality/Mixed Reality), touch simulated, and smart mirror solution providers to a somatosensory technology-based event, III strives to enhance a cross-border cross-domain ecosystem for businesses in the textile industry while facilitating efficient communications between textile and somatosensory industries. Over the years, the textile industry has been able to implement somatosensory technology while initiating an industrial transformation to connect nascent trends of the world. The alliance members include 12 Taiwan-based somatosensory businesses including ARPlanet, Vismile, Oready, PitoTech, and Full Grace Technology, and 12 textile-related public associations. Together, they will usher in a new era of industry transformation and upgrading for intelligence textile manufacturing.
