Taiwanese Advantech recently announced that it will deepen its cooperation with StarFab, a spin off of ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute), to develop an IoT (Internet of Things) ecosystem, the United Daily News reported on March 20. Prior to this, they have teamed up for Advantech xStarFab IoT Accelerator Program. This time, Advantech will provide WISE-PaaS (Platform as a Service) IoT industrial platform whereas StarFab offers funding, financial, and legal consultant services as well as its business model to speed up time-to-market to jointly create SRP (Solution Ready Package) IoT applications and products. For this year, Advantech xStarFab IoT Accelerator Program is to facilitate startups focusing on smart manufacturing, smart retail, and smart environment monitoring, renewable energy, and AI. Selected startups from the program can then join the WISE-PaaS platform to speed up commercialization and identify application markets.
