Chunghwa Telecom Collaborates with Ericsson to Spearhead Enterprise IoT Services
March 08, 2019

Taiwanese telco operator Chunghwa Telecom recently announced its partnership with Ericsson to jointly upgrade its transnational mobile IoT service through Ericsson IoT Accelerator global ecosystem, the China Times reported on February 26. By joining the Accelerator, Chunghwa Telecom's eSIM cards can now connect with any mobile IoT devices overseas without having to change physical SIM cards. Chunghwa Telecom's enterprise customers can still monitor and track the connection status, abnormalities, charge management, data volume, and equipment management of their eSIM cards via CMP (Connectivity Management Platform), a unified and initiative service platform developed by Chunghwa Telecom.
Chunghwa Telecom's collaboration with Ericsson on IoT can be dated back to 2015, including NB-IoT (Narrow Band-IoT) and Cat-M1 system deals in 2017. The cooperation this time will help Chunghwa Telecom connect to more than 30 service providers and 3,500 enterprises of around 100 countries in the Accelerator ecosystem.
