Taiwan's ASE Group to Set up New IC Packaging and Testing Plant in China for USD 2 billion

Taiwanese IC packaging and testing service provider ASE Group recently announced that it will pour roughly USD 2 billion to build a new plant in Huizhou, China, via USI (Universal Scientific Industrial), one of its subsidiaries in China, the Economic Daily News reported on January 29. ASE Group stated that USI will set up a 100% subsidiary to be in charge of building this new plant for video control boards, server boards, and new type of foundry services. In addition, the company announced last year that it will set up a new IC testing center in Nanjing, China.
