Taiwan's Government Think Tank Institute for Information Industry Secures Two Places in 2018 R&D 100 Awards

Taiwan's government think tank III (Institute for Information Industry) recently announced that its two innovations won 2018 R&D 100 Awards among over 1,000 innovations worldwide. The first innovation is Monitor and Diagnose Framework for Manufacturing Processes which helps factories monitor manufacturing processes to facilitate speed and accuracy. The other one is Hybrid MassLINK Bus Stop which is a solar-powered system to provide real-time information for bus services in remote areas using wide-area network transmission technology. Other than III, another Taiwan's research institute ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) also received three awards for three innovations, including a portable ultraviolet-C LED water sterilizer system, a single-bath supercritical fluid dyeing process for PET or blended elastic textiles, and an unmanned aerial vehicle police patrol system.
