Chunghwa Telecom recently announced that it will participate in the Asia IoT Program launched by the Japanese NTT DoCoMo to facilitate cooperation among IoT (Internet of Things) providers and expand the Asian IoT market, the Economic Daily News reported on November 2. The Asia IoT Program is a strategic alliance that has gathered telecom operators from 15 countries and provides a platform for companies cross Asia-Pacific region to exchange the latest IoT technologies, enhance connectivity, operational support and consultation on certification and regulation. The alliance will help Chunghwa Telecom provide international IoT solutions for its enterprise customers while enabling Taiwanese enterprises to sell IoT products abroad and the foreign products to use Taiwanese local mobile networks without having to worry about high roaming fees.
