Denso, Temasek Jointly Invest USD 65 Million in ThinCI for Autonomous Vehicles

NSitexe, a subsidiary of Denso to design and develop semiconductor devices for autonomous vehicles, recently announced that it has made a USD 65 million investment in ThinCI, an AI computing platform startup, the PR Newswire reported on September 5. The closing of the investment round was led by Denso and Singaporean government's investment arm Temasek, along with other investors such as US-based GGV Capital and Japan-based Mirai Creation Fund, Germany-based Daimler, and an Asian-based electronics company with an undisclosed name.. ThinCI has a programmable computing architecture that can speed up the development of deep learning, AI, and other algorithms for L4 and L5 autonomous vehicle by making computing power 5 to 10 times faster.
