Far EasTone Aims to Have Over 2 Million Mobile Payment Users By End of 2018
August 02, 2018

Launched at the end of 2016, Far Eastone’s electronic payment service friDay Wallet is set to have over two million mobile payment users by the end of 2018, the Economic Daily News reported on July 31. The service of friDay Wallet will cover Taipei City, New Taipei City, and Taichung City, including major business districts and markets. Recently, friDay Wallet has integrated with Taipei City Government’s smart payment platform, while joining New Taipei City's e Pay with an aim to have about 3,000 FriDay-supported stores by mid-2019. This demonstrates Far Eastone's strong ambition to help the Taiwanese government build a cashless society. friDay Wallet is the first mobile payment app supporting multiple e-cards such as EasyCard, iCash card, HappyCash, iPass, and after activating Far Eastone's NFC (Near Field Communications) SIM card on smartphones, users can make mobile payment across Taiwan by scanning QR code and selecting credit card option to pay by friDay. The goal is to gain tens of thousands of fields supporting friDay Wallet and QR code scanning in the New Taipei City by the end of 2019.
