PChome recently announced its O2O (Online to Offline) service called “PChome Fastag”, with an initial aim to reach over 8.5 million households in Taiwan, the Tech News reported on July 9. This service is aimed at FMCG market (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) with 3 key features, including fast scan & replenishment services, reminder service, and target marketing. Based on NFC (Near Field Communications) technology, Fastag is able to use "Smart Label" in "PChome24h Shopping" app installed in any NFC-enabled Android phones or some iPhones to get to the brand or product pages to place orders. In the future, by analyzing the consumption cycle and quantity, "PChome24h Shopping" will actively remind consumers to repurchase with promotional information or coupons attached. Moreover, brands can provide exclusive discount offers through Fastag for them to understand consumer preferences in order to adjust marketing strategies and increase consumer brand loyalty and repurchase rates.
