Hsiuping University of Science and Technology Sets Up a New Smart Vehicle Talent Training Center in Central Taiwan

Hsiuping University of Science and Technology recently launched a new talent training center for autonomous vehicles in Central Taiwan, the Yahoo News reported on May 21. In recent years, the Taiwanese government has not only actively promoted the combined use of emerging technologies and vehicles in response to the global trend of smart transportation, but also has planned to invest in technical testing and field setup for V2X (Vehicle to Everything), autonomous driving, and intelligent infrastructure. Smart transportation is an essential component to transform a city into a smart city. Thus, Hsiuping University of Science and Technology also establishes a new smart car program for mechanical engineering department that will integrate with the courses of several vocational high schools to provide a one-stop solution to meet domestic talent demand of smart vehicles. The University has also built vehicle maintenance, vehicle circuit, sensor operation and electric vehicle control laboratories as vehicle maintenance, training, and teaching sites, while invested tens of millions in the establishment of the national-level motor vehicle inspection sites this year.
