Taiwanese Synnex Technology recently announced that its subsidiary in Australia has officially signed a cooperation agreement with AOpen for IoT (Internet of Things), according to a press release from Synnex on November 30. Pursuant to the agreement, they will work together to promote IoT solutions in Australia, and also give priority to Australia's retail, industrial, education industries which have high growth potential. Synnex has actively involved in the IoT development in recent years and has been an official distributor of AOpen. In addition to working with Intel and Microsoft in the Asia Pacific region and India, Synnex's cooperation with AOpen will focus on embedded products such as mini-OPS (Open Pluggable Specification), digital signage, and commercial Chrome devices. AOpen has been dedicated to developing products running on Chrome operating system and has a number of IoT-ready Chromebox and Chromebase products available.
