Network operator UnaBiz, the partner of LPWAN (Low Power Wide-Area Network) service provider Sigfox, recently announced that it has entered a cooperation agreement with a Taiwanese network operator Taiwan Mobile to jointly launch a network dedicated to IoT (Internet of Things) development in Taiwan, the Economic Daily News reported on October 13. Pursuant to the agreement, the network will provide an optimal environment for a wide range of IoT devices across numerous manufacturing and production sectors. UnaBiz boasts it has covered 85% of Taiwan's population and will achieve about 95% coverage in the second quarter of 2018. Other than Taiwan Mobile, the company stated that it will also leverage the support from Sigfox-based ecosystem partners in Taiwan like Advantech, Secom, and LiteOn to tap huge IoT opportunities together.
