December 09, 2016
Major VR (Virtual Reality) headset manufacturers, including HTC, Acer, Sony, Oculus, Google, and Samsung, have created a nonprofit called the Global Virtual Reality Association (GVRA) to foster the worldwide VR industry and share best practices, reported Commercial Times on December 9. The goal of the GVRA is to promote responsible development and adoption of VR globally, as well as to bring the international VR community together, including consumers, policy makers, and vendors, as the technology progresses. The association will strive to unleash and maximize the potential of VR technologies, which are expected to become a major next-generation computing platform.
